In this post, I am sharing with you some ideas for a Harry Potter movie night! With these props, you’re bound to enhance your next watch!

As children of the 80s/90s, we 30-somethings grew up with the Harry Potter books. While other generations may enjoy the series, they just don’t get it like we do. (Sorry, kiddos.)

Anyway, a couple weeks ago, I posted a Fall Bucket List. Among the items on the list was to “Have or Host a Harry Potter Movie Marathon”.

Next weekend, Josh and I have plans to check this off the list. Several friends are coming over, and we are going to watch Harry Potter to our heart’s desire.

In preparation for the movie night, we made quite a few Potter-themed purchases, which I’m sharing with you in this post.

Whether you decide to host a Harry Potter movie night for one or one hundred (I dunno that I’d recommend that, but hey, live your dream), these Harry Potter movie night ideas are sure to spruce up your next viewing of the famous boy wizard.

This post is about Harry Potter Movie Party ideas.

Props & Decor

12Pcs Flameless, Floating Candles

These are so cool! And I knew I just needed to have them. Enhance your next viewing by hanging these from the ceiling and recreating a Great Hall-themed home viewing space.

20 PCs Flameless, Floating Candles

The same as the item before it, but with even more pieces! More pieces = more fun!

“Have You Seen This Wizard?” Photo Booth Prop

If you’re having a viewing party with others, of course you’ll need some photo opps. Tell me these photos wouldn’t make great memories!

7x5ft Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry Castle Backdrop

Another fun backdrop for guests (and hosts!) to pose with before (or after!) showtime.

Drinkware

12 Pieces Skeleton Hand Flute Glasses

These give some serious Hand of Glory vibes, reminiscent of Half-Blood Prince! Definitely a fun way to enjoy your beverage of choice during your next viewing.

20 mL Cork Stopper Glass Bottles

Or maybe you’re opting for a little harder of beverages. A lovely way to package shots, don’t you think? Much more thematic taking shots from little vials!

8 oz Goblets Wine Glasses

What better way to honor the Goblet of Fire than these goblet glasses? Pour yourself a nice glass of wine and enjoy drinking from your Potter-themed challience!

12 OZ Witch Black Cauldron Cups

Enjoy some “liquid concoctions” within these cauldron cups! I know we plan to. 😉

MDLUU Liquor Decanter

There’s a whole slew of witchy-looking decanters on Amazon. These are just fun ways to hold mixed drinks!

Witchy Coffin Decanter

Just another fun, witchy option for your beverage of choice.

Snacks, Sweets, Treats, & Recipe Books

Harry Potter Chocolate Frogs

Of course you need snacks! Is there anything more iconic than Chocolate Frogs!? Munch on some of these while watching.

Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Jelly Beans

Bertie Bott’s Every Flavored Beans may be the only Potter-themed snack as iconic as Chocolate Frogs. Fortunately, our Muggle world doesn’t have flavors like bogey!

Official Harry Potter Cookbook

This book is full of recipes inspired by the series themselves! What better way to enjoy the series than eating right alongside the cast and characters?

Official Harry Potter Baking Book

…and here’s the baking edition for those who prefer and/or enjoy baking! Serve up some book-themed sweets for your next watch. I can’t bake to save my life, but if I could, I’d be all about this book!

Hopefully, this list provided you with plenty of ideas to really embrace your inner Potterhead next time you indulge in the film series.
