In today's post, we're gearing up for another weekend in Knoxville. So here's another post dedicated to the Knoxville travel day routine.

Hi, friends! Welcome back to another blog post.

Today was a good one, but it was super busy – our Knoxville travel days always are.

Work was pretty good today. Pretty busy, too. But thankfully, I was working from home today, so it was nice to not have to run all over the Triangle, trying to get to and from the office in the middle of the day.

And I know Raleigh enjoyed having me home with her because she didn’t have to spend the day reading mixed "Do they love? Do they love me not?" signals the "weird dogs" (i.e. the cats).

Then after work, I pretty much just ran around the house like a total whirlwind, packing up the car and tidying up the house – because I absolutely hate coming back from Knoxville to a house that is anything but spotless. And while the deep clean doesn’t always happen, this time I was able to give the house a solid cleaning so that’ll be nice when we get home. (Other than the laundry I left on top of the dryer, I checked everything off the list.)

Before leaving, I also had the chance to take Raleigh on a walk. And while on the walk, she saw her first ever lizard. She wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but she lost her oh Holy shit nonetheless.

And then around 6:30, I got the dog in the car and we went to go pick up dinner.

And somehow – even though everything had been packed up and ready to go since like 3 PM – I was still running late. I just completely lost track of time – only to look up at the clock on the microwave and realize I was behind schedule. Sigh.

So after grabbing some Chipotle and eating it in the car, I swung by Josh‘s work to pick him up, and then we drove to Knoxville.

We didn’t get in until, like, a little past midnight, so that was pretty tiring. But at least we stopped for some snacks and drinks along the way – so it wasn’t all bad.

And that was the day! Another routine Knoxville travel day.

So until tomorrow, my friends 👋🏼 And thanks for reading!
