This past weekend, I wasn’t posting all too much because I was bus-y! With summer coming to an end and fall upon us, I took it upon myself to give my house a nice fall refresh. With the house now nice and refreshed and ready for the fall, I thought I’d share with you all how I got my home fall-ready with this fall refresh.

Before scrolling any further, why not go grab yourself a nice, little snack or drink or any other tiny indulgence to enjoy while reading? Kick back, relax, and hang on the site for a minute. You have my permission. ðŸ˜„

Photo Frame Refresh

I don’t know about you, but I tend to let framed photographs hang well beyond their expiration dates. As part of my fall refresh, I updated every single hanging frame in my house. And let me tell you – what a difference it’s made! I even opted to print and hang some more seasonal (*cough* fall) photos from years passed, which has helped add to the “fall”ness of the house. I may end up doing this for every season.

Organize the Fridge & Pantry

I am terrible at remembering to give the fridge and pantry some TLC. However, with the incoming influx of “fall”-y perishables and pantry items alike, I wanted to give my fridge and pantry some love. All it took was about one hour of dumping, restocking, and reorganizing, and now both my fridge and pantry are ready for some fall-y goodness. I can’t wait to start stocking up with all my fall favorites!

Update Your Fall Wardrobe

I spent a lot of time with my laundry room this weekend, washing, drying, and deciding which summery outfits could go into storage, and which fall outfits could get their post-storage wash. Better yet, as I started unpacking my fall wardrobe, I determined my Fall 2023 wardrobe needs (e.g. I put together a new fall clothing shopping list).

Even though it was 90 degrees in Raleigh this weekend, I couldn’t help but turn up the AC a little bit more than normal and cozy up in one of my favorite sweatshirts one evening. Fall clothes really are the best!

Breakout the Fall Candles

Fall candles are, objectively, the best. Like, it’s not even up for debate. I love breaking out the fall candles at the start of the season. Something about your house smelling like pumpkins, cinnamon, or both just really sets the mood.

Fall Decorate!

Finally, and most obviously, I started getting ready for the fall with some fall decorating! To reward myself for completely refreshing the house, I allowed myself a trip to buy some new fall decor. In particular, Target, Michaels, and HomeGoods have some really great fall decor on sale right now. If you’re in the market for some new “fall stuff,” I highly recommend checking out these retailers.

I also started breaking out some of my pre-existing decorations. (Such as pumpkins. Now, I’ve got pumpkins everywhere.) Because nothing screams “fall!” more than earthy tones, pumpkin-ny scents, and plastic vegetables all over your home!

Fall Refresh: Summary

There are many ways to prep your house (and life!) for fall, the coziest time of the year. Some ideas include updating photo frames, organizing your storage space, validating your next shopping trip, and giving your home a fall-y makeover. Hopefully, this list of activities gave you some ideas for your own fall refresh!

So now I’m wondering: What’s your favorite way to prep for fall? Let me know in the comments!
